MPORTANT WORKS SANGXJGfcWD. By Telegraph.—Press Aasocldtlon. Wellington, Last Might, The Wellington ratepayers to-day voted in favor of the City Council loan proposals, aggregating £1,700,000. There were nine separate proposal', covering water supply, street works, tramway extensions, baths, general improvements, a new tunnel tbroughi' Mt. Vi/toria, and lire protection equipment. All were carried by roughly ft majority of three to two. Of some 21,009 on the roll, only about 5000 voted.
