BENNETT.—In loving remembrance of Rifleman Harold E. E. Bennett, who was killed in action. September 15, 1916. In a distant land he lies, At rest in a soldier's grave; His battle fought, his name enrolled On the scroll of the deathless brave. A lonely firave In a far-off land. A grave we may never aee; But, while life and memory last, We will remember thee. Inserted by his loving brother, George. BENNETT.—In loving memory of Rifleman Harold E. E. Bennett, N.Z.R.8., killed in action at the Somme, September 35, 1910. POR HIS COUNTRY'S SAKE. My dear son is sleeping his last long sleep. In a grave we may never see, May some gentle hand in that distant land, Lay down a Rower for me. Ha sleep besides his comrades, In a hallowed grave unknown, But his name Is written in letters of love On our hearts he left at home. Inserted by his loving father, slsterß, and! brothers.
