MARANATHA.
(Christ Cometh.) "You people are looking for Christ's coming any day, but He may not come for 500 to 1000 years." We have had this said in our hearing many times. Well, some of the fiaintliest and moat able expounders of the Word of God declare tliat the close of tile Gentile times and the second stage of Christ's coming must take place within the next eighty years at thfc longest. The leading article of the Dominion, 27th March last, on the "Future of Palestine,'' says:—lit is evident that there will be no Jewish nation occupying Palestine for many a day." If, as many Bible students think, we are Hearing the period spoken of in the Scriptures as the close of Gentile times, then a self-govern: lg Jewish nation will occupy Palestine during the lifetime of many living to-day, though all the powers of hell are leagued together to prevent it. "Jerusalem shallbe trodden down of the Gentiles," said Christ, "till the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." Then we may be certain if the second stage of Christ's coming be near the first stage, when the translation (as of Enoch) of all true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ may take place at any moment. This is a day when preachers of the Gospel and all who love our Lord Jesus in sincerity may exhort one another with "Why apeak ye not a word to bring the King back?" See 11. Samuel, 19: 10. "Surely I come quiskly. Amen. Even so, -come. Lord Jesus," Revelation 2S; 20$
