In the Senate, Mr. Milieu announced that the Commonwealth Government's timber deal with Queensland would save the Government £714,000. Mr. Ball (Nationalist), who, with Mr. O'Brien (Labor) represents Murray, New South Wales, is willing to accept Mr. Corey's suggestion that both resign and thus enable a fresh election to be held for the three vacancies, provided the Government finances the election.—Aus.N.Z.
