PROVIDING HOMES.

THE GOVERNMENT SCHEME. (By Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. A return presented to Parliament today shows that 13 houses liave already been built by the Government Housing Department, and 292 are now under construction. Tenders have beau called for another 266, and arrangements are proceeding for a further 514 dwellings. The charge to occupants for administration expenses is approximately £2B per house. Thirty-seven houses already built, were purchased.
