SAY OF PLENTY SEAT. THE BEFGRM CANDIDATE By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, It is announced that Mr. K. S. Williams will be a candidate for the Bay of Plenty seat. Mr. Williams, in announcing his decision to content the seat, expressed regret at the -occasion which had arisen for the election, and paid a tribute to the late Mr, MacDouald's public services. At the general election, held in December 17 of last year, Mr. MaeDon&ld Was opposed by MlvK. S. Williams (Reform) and retained, the sey.t, the voting being: Hon. W. D. S, Mac Donald (Liberal), 33J>0; K. 8. Williams (Reform), 88VAt the 'previous election (in Wl4) the Hob. Mr. MacDmmld polled 4033 to the g&tne opponent's 30G8.
