COURSING.
THE FINAL MEETING. SOME GREAT COURSES. ! The final coursing meeting of tho season took place at Giea Avon, on Saturday, when ii Novice and a Maiden event, each for eight dogs, were decided. Tho fin© weather and | the splendid coursing that has been witnessed of late attracted a large attendance of spectators who had a good afternoon's sport. The hares were in splendid form, and some great courses were seen, the final the Maiden Stakes, which was won by ; DtimmeresQue, being a particularly fine one. As usual the arrangements were splendid, every detail being provided for by the ' officials, who comprised Messrs. F. Doughty ! (slipper), W. Haskell (slip steward), t\ | Haskell (hare slipper), F. Nichiill (call | sioward), G. M'alam (judge steward), whilst | Mr. f. Doughty also carried oitf the onerous | duties of secretary with his Usual ability, j Mr. 3„ Jenkinsou again occupied the judge's i 3taud, giving every satisfaction.
