SPRING BLOOMS.

-SHOW AT NEW PLYMOUTH. AN ATTRACTIVE DISPLAY. There was a beautiful array of blooms at St. Mary's annual show at New Plymouth, which opened yesterday afternoon, a"ml the hall presented a very attractive appearance. Numerically the entries are a little below the average, The proceeds of the function will be devoted to the funds for the erection of the Peace Memorial Sunday School, and satisfactory patronage was accorded to the Show yesterday, the afternoon and evening sessions 'being attended by a good r-umber of people. The afternoon tea department was conducted by Miss Lethbridg;, MphUiiiicHill and Ingstone, Misses Bcube and Kuiidle. Chief among the displays are those arranged by Mrs. Greig, and Messrs Duncan and Davies, Ltd. Exhibits were also made by the following: Miss DevenUh Mr. J. Paton, Mr. J. Gibson, Mrs. T. C List, Mr. T. French, Mr. W. P. Gordon, Mr. L. Eea, Mr. Chas. Sanders, Mr. K W. ft. Robertson, Mrs. W. P. Sandford, Mrs. F. Messenger, Mrs. J. H. Frctliey, Mr. John Baillie, and Mr. E. B Kvn»don. J ° Varieties of the various seasonal flowers were of a fairly wide range. A selection of friesias grown bv Mrs. Gordon was the centre bf some attention A stall for the sale of flowers will be conducted this afternoon, when the Show will be continued. The result of the judging in the competitive classes was as follows: Decorated Baskets—Margaret Shaw 1 Hazel Buckle 2, Pcnnv Bovd 3 ' Decorated Tables-Ladies; Miss Curtis 1, Miss Reube 2.
