The Flora, arrived at 1.15 p.m. yesterday from Lyttelton, Nelson and Wellington with 1000' tons of general cargo. She should complete discharging by to-night, and sail on the return trip to Lyttelton and Wellington. JAPANESE VESSEL IN THE STREAM. The Japanese steamer Atsuta Maru arrived at 6.20 last night, and anchored In the stream. The harbormaster (Captain Waller) and a medical officer will board the vessel tuts, morning and If she shows a clean bill of health she should berth at about 8 a.m. No details of the vessel are yet available, but she appears to be of the collier type and somewhere In the vicinity of 4000 tons COAL FROM WESTPORT. The Klttawa is due to arrive to-day from Westport with 1460 tons of coal for this port. EXPLOSIVES FROM ONEHUNGA. The Aarapawa is expected to arrive tomorrow with 400 cases of explosives from Onehunga. ' OTARAMA'S ITINERARY. Tha liner Otarama is to leave Waitara on Saturday for Wellington to complete Homeward loading. The vessel Is to get away from Wellington about the Bth or Bth inst. for London/, via Panama. MAMARI LEFT BALBOA. Cable advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill and' Albion Company that the Mamari, en route from London, left Balboa on August 30th. for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Wellington, and New Plymouth. Tho vessel Is due at Port Chalmers about September 20th. MAHANA FROM NEWCASTLE. A wireless message from the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Mahana, en route from Newcastle, reported that the vessel would arrive in the stream at Wellington last night. The vessel has a load of bunker coal to discharge, and will afterwards load at Napier, arriving back at Wellington on the 22nd Inst, to flit up. The Mahana will sail froth Wellington on the 28th Inst, for Condon, via Panama. JACKSON'S HEADLICHT. The Customs office, New Plymouth, have received a telegram intimating that Jackson's Headlight has been reported out, and tl.at arrangements are being made to re-light Within a few days. THE WEST CAMARGO, The West Camargo, which is coming io New Plymouth this month arrived at Auckland from San Francisco on Monday. She left the American /port on August 3, and called at Honolulu en route, leaving the latter port for Auckland direct on August 16. Fine weather was experienced until last Thursday, «hen the steamer met with :|'rcjng south-west and west winds and Ireavy seas for three days. The West Camargo is a new ell fuel steamer of 3551 tons net, and was specially -built for the trade between America, New Zealand and Australia. The West Camargo Is under the command of Captain L. Weatdahl. THE WEST HOLBROOK. The West Holbrook, belonging to the General Steamship Corporation, left San Francisco on August 25.. She is due at Auckland about September 24, and should arrive at Wellington about October 2. NIAGARA AND TAHITI. The Niagara arrived at Suva on Sunday evening from Auckland, and sailed at 19 a.m. on Monday for Honolulu and Vancouver The Tahiti, from Vancouver, left Honolulu on Saturday evening for Suva and Aucklnnd. She Is due at Auckland on September 9th. THE ARGYLLSHIRE. The Argyllshire sailed from Newport News on August 29th for London, In continual ion of her voyage from Wellington. The vessel is due at London on September 10th. ABADESA TO LOAD^ The 'Abadesa left Sydney on Tuesday for Wanganul, where she is due next Monday for Homeward loading. The vessel is to arrive at Wellington on the 14th inst. from Wanganul, and will leave Wellington on the 21st inst. for London, via Panama. THE WESTMEATH. The Weslmeath, from Newcastle, arrived at Wellington yesterday. The vessel will discharge bunker coal and afterwards load at Wellington, Glsborne, anc} again at Wellington for Liverpool vja Panama. PORT SYDNEY LEFT NEWCASTLE. The Port Sydney, en route from London, left Newcastle at 9 pm. on Monday for Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Aucklnnd on the 4th inst. and at Wellington about the 14th. THE CANADIAN JOCPOEffER;.' The Canadian Exporter is due at Auck.and on September 17th from Vancouver. She wi]l proceed thence to. Wellington, arriving there nbout September 27tb., and will subsequently go to Melbourne. The vessel will discharge and load for Vancouver while she Is at Auckland and Wellington, and will ■ complete discharge and loading in Australia. CITY OF CORINTH. DUCHBSS-RUAHINE INQUIRY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 1. The magisterial inquiry into the collision between the harbor ferry stenmer Duchess, coming from Day's Bay during a fog on July 27, and the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s liner Ruahine lying at Queen's Wharf, was resumed to-day. The damage done to the Ruahine amounted to £SOOO. Sydney Mayson, boatswain on the Ruahlr.e, gave evidence that the Duchess was travelling at the rate of seven or eight. Wnots, and was headed straight on to the Ruahlne.
