CORRESPONDENCE.

JOY-KILLERS. j (To the Editor.) Sir, —"0.H.M." seems to have taken the rcraaTk that I quoted from a certain witty divine very much to heart. He says that it may he witty, but that It certainly was not wise. Perhaps it is not very wise, but it certainly is true It is the old story of which is tlie greater sinner—the wine-bibber or the Pharisee? In endeavoring to muster up somo wit with which to attempt to ridicule my divine, "G H.M." was evidently rather hard up, for. lie has had to have recourse to a rather far-fetched pun—that lowest fotni of wit that used to delight our primeval ancestors, and evidently still has Its charms for "G.H.M." Another correspondent of yours, "The Living Present," has rushed along Mr. Edison as a. sort of counterpart to Julius Caesar. Mr Edison may or may not partake of the benefits of wine, etc , but if, as "The Living Present" declares, ho does not, one cannot help wondering how much more he would have done if he liad had the assistance of tho stimulant that has helped and Inspired so many great men In the past.—l am, etc., BYSTANDER. v _ THE FIRST SNEEZE IS THE DANGER SIGNAL. Time to take Dr. Sheldon's New Discovery for Coughs and Colds. Don't neglect a cold; It's serious. New Discovery obtainable et«ry. Vbt* i
