SHIRT FACTORY FIRE.
heavy damage to stock. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, August 30. A fire ost night at Archibald Clark and Sons' sMrt and collar factory at -re. Lynn was confined to part of tlie building -which was not badly burned, but stock valued at £20,00 sustained serious damage by fire and water. The cutting room, where the fire started was practically gutted. The insurance was £2O 000 in the New Zealand and South British offices. 4 The factory employed about four hundred, mostly girls and women. It is understood that the fire will not interfere to any great extent with their work.
