A FINANCIAL PROPOSAL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, August 30. ' Pastoral circles are suggesting the establishment o[ Government credits regarding the sale of "Australian wool to foreign countries. It is proposed that ten million would be sufficient to float the scheme, which would assist French and Italian buyers who are handicapped by the rates of exchange. Mr. Hughes, in his reply "to the proposal, was non-committal. He, said he was impressed with its advantages, but agreed the scheme involved serious financial obligations on the Commonwealth.
