August 30—Otarama, s.s,, at 4 p.m., 7759 tons, Hughes, for Waitara. i THE RIMU TO-DAY. The Rtau passed Manuknu Heads at 4.60 p.m. yesterday, and is due here this morning. She will return north this afternoon, JAPANESE BOAT WITH COAL. The Japanese steamer Astua Maru left Newcastle on Thursday for New Plymouth, bringing 3000 tons of coal for the Railway P apartment. She Is expected here tomorrow. i i COAL FROM WESTPORT. The Klttawa was to leave Westport at midnight last night with 1440 tons of coal for New Plymouth. She Bhould reach here toMorrow. FLORA DUE TO-MORROW. The Flora Is due at New Plymouth tomorrow from Lyttelton, via Wellington and Nelson, with general cargo. PORT ALMA FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The Port Alma will leave Sydney on Saturday for New Plymouth direct, to load produce for England. She is flue here on September 9th. OTARAMA SAILS. The Otarama, which was loading cargo at New Plymouth all last week, finished loading jreßterday, and sailed for Waitara at 4 p.m. BUAHINE FURTHER POSTPONED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the Ruahine, which was to have sailed on Thursday at 3 p.m. for London, has now been delayed until Friday. THE WAIMANA. ; f The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's liner Wntaiana berthed at Dunedin on Friday to discharge part cargo from London. The teasel is to sail on Thursday for Lyttelton ivtth remainder of cargo. THE CANADIAN EXPORTER. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Exporter, cargo-laden from Vancouver, is to make Wellington her second port of c.l'l, proceeding first to Auckland. The' vessel Is due at Wellington about September 17th. THE SAIKAI MARU. The Japanese steamer Baikal Maru, recently at Wellington, Is waiting at Newcastle to load a cargo of coal for Wellington or Lyttelton. THE C. AND D LINE. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line is Inaugurating :: regular service between New York and Boston and Australasian ports. The Initial voyage in this venture is being made by the steamer Port Curtis, which, after cilschargo of her present cargo in Australia,, will return to New Zealand to load a return cargo to New York and (or! Boston. The vessel Is at present at Wellington. She will sail on her return trip to America about tho middle of October. ■ PORT CAROLINE AT CAPETOWN. The C. and D. liner Port Caroline left Capetown on August 24, en route from London and New Zealand ports. PAPAROA LEFT COLON. Cable news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the liner Paparoa left Colon on the 25th inst. for Newport News, Southampton, and London, In continuation of her voyage frojn Wellington. OPAWA AT LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company hove been advised by cable that their liner Opawa arrived at London on the 26th inst. from Bluff, via Panama. ARAWA LEFT COLON. Cable advice has been received by the Shaw,- Savill and Albion Company. that the liner Arawa left Colon on Tuesday last for Southampton and London, In continuation of her voyage'from Wellington. • THE WESTMEATH. The New Zealand and African Company advise that the Westmeath left Newcastle on Friday for Wellington, where she Is due on Thursday with a load of bunker coal to dlsr charge. The vessel Is to load at Gisborne and Wellington for Liverpool. MAHANA LEFT NEWCASTLE. Somewhat sooner than expected the Shaw, Savill and Albion >liner Mnhana left Newcastle on Saturday evening for Wellington for Homeward loading In New Zealand. The vessel Is due cl Wellington to-morrow night, or Thursday morhlng. MOANA FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company's steamer Moana is due at Wellington this morning from Sydney direct With passengers and cargo. RUAPEHU ARRIVED. . The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruapehu from Southampton, via Newport News, arrived in the stream at Wellington on Saturday night, and berthed at noon on Sunday. The vessel, which left Southampton on .Tuly Bth., experienced a fine trio throughout. She brought 301 passengers, 70 saloon and 225 steerage. There was no sickness on board, land the voyage was uneventful. Captain A. W. Mcl Cellar Is In command.
