THE STATE MINERS.
HINT OF MORE TROUBLE. STOP-WORK MEETINGS CALLED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Grevmouth, Last Night. The State Miners' Union met at Runanga to-night to consider the disputes existing at the Taratu, Green Island, and Mataura mines, and expressed regret that the Government did not bring pressure to bear on the coal owners at the respective places to have them adhere to last February's national agree' TOent, as tie Miners' Federation executive has endeavored to persuade them, to do. It was decided, in view of the failure to move in the direction indicated, that on Monday, at 10 a.w, a atop-wort meeting of the union will be held to discuss what future action should bo taken. It i 3 understood all the other coal miners' unions in the Dominion will do likewise, the result of which meetings may have a far-reaching effect.
