WOOL FROM ARGENTINA.

SCHEME TO REDUCE SURPLUS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 25, 5.5 p.m. Buenos Aires, August 25. President Irogoyen has recommended the enactment of a law exempting wools from export tax, and authorising Government to negotiate with foreign countries for the sale of wool, credit extending not more than two years. The measure is intended to aid holders of wool to dispose of large Burplus stocks accumulated on account of a slack market. The Argentine National Bank would discount documents of sale. >—Aua.-N.Z.
