He thought tho event was certainly an to- * portant one. It was the first aerial crossing of Cook Strait, and Captain Dickson, who did good Work-' during thewar, would probably be able to furnish data that would prove valuable m \determining the extent of the future utilisation of flying machines for publio purposes. He would send personal congratulations to Captain Dicksdn.
