COURSING.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. THE TARANAKI CUP. . Coursing enthusiasts were provided with a good day's sport yesterday, when too 'faranaki Cup meeting was opened at the Glen Avon course under the auspices of the New Plymouth Club. There was a good attendance, and .though the weather was decidedly wintry, the) sport was thoroughly enjoyed. Thirty-two dogs competed, and some one courses were witnessed. The hares were In good condition, but four kills were registered. The judging was carried out by Mr J. Jenkinson, while Mr. F. Doughty ncted as slipper. The first and second rounds were decided yesterday, and the concluding rounds will be run on the second day of the meeting to-morrow. There will be a Supplementary Stakes to-morrow.
