Quotations range from £8 to £9 2s; Canadian, spot, demand is quiet: . White. £7 13s; colored, £7 17s. Quotations c.i.f. firmer, colored £B, but no business has been done. "Hemp.—Manila market firmer. Moderate business has been done. *.!' grade, April-June to June-August, shipments now quoted at £64; August-October shipment sold £O4 10s and up. New Zealand market quiet. Highpoints, spot, •sold £54; August-October shipment quoted at £53 sellers; fair, spot, £52; August-October shipment, £51." LONDON TALLOW SALES. The Bank of New Zealand has receiyed the following advice from its' London office under date August IS:.—"TallowMarket is easier at a decline of £1 per ton." j The New* Zealand Loan and Mercan--1 tile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date August 18:—Tallow Wo quote present, spot values for the I following descriptions:—Fine mutton, £3 18s per cwt.; good beef, £3 16s per cwt.; mixed, £3 8s per cwt.
