The . tramway returns for the week ending Sunday, August 22nd, show a considerable increase as compared_ with those rf the corresponding week last year, the receipts being £303 4s lid, an increase of over -C7 1 . There is a decrease in the number of passengers carried, being 20,058 last week and 31,300 last year. Sunday was a particularly busy day, there being unusually heavy -traffic to the breakwater, due to the' presence of a Home liner. Details: — Passengers.
