STRATFORD POST OFFICE.

THE NEW BUILDING. AMPLE ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED Wellington, August 23, Mr. Robert Masters M.P. had a long interview with the' Postal Department the new Stratford Post Office. He stated to a Press representative that he was very pleased to notice that the accommodation which is being provided does full credit to the Department, and makes ample provision for the much-needed requirement?, and does away with much of the great inconvenience jiow being felt with the inadequate provision for attending to users of the Post Office in the present building. Provision is being made in all departments for the future growth of Stratford and the large digI trict round about which uses the town |as its business centre. Mr. Masters reiceived a definite official assurance that with the opening of the new Post Office [ the automatic system of telephone ex- | changes will come into operation. This, it is understood, will be the first installation of this up-to-date telephone exchange system in Taranaki. and it is pleasant to know that, even though the public have had to wait a very long time, the Stratford Post Office and' its appointments' when completed will be worthv of the town.
