R.S.A. BALL.
The 1919 ball of the Returned Soldiers' Association at New Plymouth was proclaimed a great success. The third annual ball takes place on September 2nd., to be followed on the 3rd by the "kiddies' night" This, itself, should bij well worth seeing, as the practises have been regularly attended by quite i lai'29 number of juveniles, eager to oiifc'do filch other on "the night." The supper arrangemim'.s for both nights will be in charge of Mr*. A. N. McDiarmid, who has a strong bulks' Committee with her, and Mrs. Burgess has undertaken the decorative part. The df corating of the hall itseif Will be a special feature, Mes R. Bennoch, Roberts, Jenkins, and Co. being 111 charge. The orchestra of ten instruments will ccr.s'st entirely of returned men under the conductorship of "Digger" Bolton, and this will be augmented later in the evening by other well-known musicians who have always given the R.S.A. every possible, assistance. The electrical effects arranged by Mr. S. Higgs promise to be something out of the ordinary.
