NEXT THURSDAY'S TOURNAMENT. The Taranaki Boxing Association's thlri tournament wili be held in the Empire Theatre, New Plymouth, on Thursday night, the 28tli inst. In the professional bout (15 rounds) G, Richardson will meet P. Brown. Both these contestants are thoroughly trained, and should give a fast and open display of boxing. Brown, who was welter champion |of the 4th Battle Squadron, Grand Fleet, 19X5, has beaten, amongst others, such good men in the navy as Sefman MHligan and Seaman Lampard. Richardson has beaten such good boxers as P. Macallan (Australia), H. Wood (England), C, Cate (who was known in New Zealand some Ave years ago as the hurricano mlddle-weitfM), Luttrell, and others.
