Patrons are reminded that the box plan for the Taranakl Boxing Associations tournament. which takes place in the Empire Theatre, New Plymouth next Thursday night, will open at Colliers this morning, where ringside .and 10 seats can be reserved. Members who have not yet received their' passes, should apply to the secretary for same at once. The amateur bouts should produce some very good boxing as some well-known and tried boxers are taking part. In the bantams, Wally Harris will be matched against .T. James. In the welter-weight, JR. Land will meet P. O'Carroll, of Inglewood. In the heavyweight, two splendid boxers will try conclusions, C. F. Clifton (of New Plymouth) and L. McAsey (of Lepperton). W. l<. Coombe, of Oaonul, will also be matched against a well-knaro boxer. „ The big bout of the evening vml be the professional match of li> runds (for a purse of 70 sovereigns) between 0. Richardson and p. Brown, and this should be i bout well worth going a long way to see. Mr. Tim Tracey, of Wellington, will be the referee.
