Empty cows and heifers, £5 to £7 Ids; yearling steers, £3 15s to £5 ss; ditto heifers, £3 to £4 12a 6d; bulls, £5 to £lO 10s.
At Pukekolie, for dairy cattle, good quality and close to profit, competition was teen, high values ruling. Extra choice dairy cows dose to profit £25 to £34 15s; .good cows, ditto, £l6 10s to £24 15cj others £ll to £ls 15s. Extra choice heifers, close to profit, £lB to £26; others, ditto, £l2 to ,£ls IBs; others, £8 to £ll 15s. Backward cows and heifers, best £l3 to £l7 10s; others £8 to £l2 15s. At Westfleld fat stock market beef was penned In average numbers, being mostly of Inferior quality. Choice oxen sold to £3 per 1001b, prime oxen sold to £2 15s to £2 1.7s per 1001b, plain and Tough oxen £1 17s to £2 10s per 1001b., cow and heifer beef £2 5s to £2 12s per 1001b. Steers sold at from for best £l9 to £24 12s Cd, no extra heavy steers were penned, light prime steers £lO 10s to £lB 17s 6d. others £l6 to £l6 sa; cows and heifers sold at from £8 to £l4 15s. Sheep sold at Improved prices.
