MoSweeney, Lord Mayor of Cork, was sentenced by court-martial to two years. McSweeney continues to hunger-strike in Brixton prison, and declares that he will persist regardless of consequences. Sinn Feiners assert that his death would hare serious consequences, as McSweeney is one of the most popular Reiiublican leaders in the south of Ire-»nd—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. MORE ATTACKS ON SOLDIERS. Received August 22, 5.5 p.m. ' London, August 19. Haiders ambushed a military patrol at Ballyvourney, and killed an officer and wounded four soldiers. A large armed party held up thirty soldiers in a motor lorry at Anaecaul, West Kerry. They disarmed the soldiers. After a sharp fusilade four soldiers were woimded.-rAuB.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
