JJUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Council by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Rating Act, 1908, it is the intention of the Clifton County Council at its next meeting to : be held on Friday, the 3rd day of September, 1920, to make and levy under section 117 of the Counties Act, 1908, and in accordance with section 48 of the Rating Act, 1908, a General Rate of j Two-pence farthing (2Jd) in the £ on j the Capital Value of all rateable property within each of the Ridings of the of Clifton, namely, the Mokau, Urenui, Tikorangi, Waihi and Ngatimaru Ridings; and such General Rate shall be for the year ending 31st March, 1921, ■ and be payable in one instalment on the 17th day of September, 1920, at the office of the Clifton County Council, West Quay, Waitara, where the rate book is ; open for inspection during office hours.
