SPECIAL ORDER. p pursuance and exercise of the powers Vested in it.by section 16 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," and with the consent of the ratepayers' of the Hurford Road Special Rating Area in the Taranaki County hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the Special Rating Area, the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of the aaid County is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not consent, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:—. For the purpose of regrading and forming the Hurford Road, the Taranaki County hereby authorises the raising of a Loan of £3OO at four and a-half per centum per annum for a period of thirtysix years and a-half, and declares that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year's interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raised. CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL. JpUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Council by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Rating Act, 1908, it is the intention of the Clifton County Council at its next meeting to be held on Friday, the 3rd day of September, 1920, to make and levy under section 117 of the Counties Act, 1908, and in accordance with section 48 of the Rating Act, 1908, a General Bate of Twopence farthing (2Jd) in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property within each of the Ridings of the County of Clifton, namely, the Mokau, Urenui, Tikorangi, Waihi and Ngatimaru Sidings; and such General Rate shall be for the year ending 31st March, 1921, and be payable in one instalment on the 17th day of September, 1020, at the office of the Clifton County Council, West Quay, Waitara, where the rate book is open for -inspection during office hours.
