The Overseas Settlement Committee has received 47,000 applications from exservice men and women for free piwaagss to the Dominions, numbering 2i0,000 soula including dependents. The committee iS3ued to the end of July jjassage warrants ior 13,000 applicants, numbering 65,000 souls, including dependents. Fifty per cent, were proceeding to Canada, 25 per cent. to. Australia, 15 per cent, to New Zealand, 5 per cent, to South Africa, and the balance to East Africa, Rhodesia, and other parts of the Empire.
