Present indications are for higli an& squally south-east winds northwards of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and moderate to strong southliee elsew >,re, veering to westerlies everywhere shortly. Weather cloudy and unsettled, with rain generally, and heavy rain in northern and East Coast districts of the North Island. The barometer will rise temporarily In the north, but will fall soon in the south.
