BOXING.
TARANAKI BOXING ASSOCIATION. The programme for the boxing tournament, which takes place in the Empire Theatre next Ihursday, appears in this issue. This is the night of the Hunt Club races, ThereMs rd fifteen rounds professional bout for, a purse of seventy sovereigns, the contestants being George Richardson (winner of twenty contests), ami Frank Brown (welter champion of the 4th Battle Squadron, Grand Fleet, 1915). As both these men are training hard ana in the pink of condition the bout should be well worth going a long way to see. There will also be four special amateur bouts between well •known amateurs of the province, full particulars of which will be given later. The prices of admission have been fixed at 10s and ss, and there will be a limited number of ring side' seats at £1 Is, the box plan for which will open at Collier's next Monday morning (23rd lust), at 4 a.m. Mr. Tim Tracey, of Wellington, w : lli again act as referee.
