LAST YEAR'S OPERATIONS. The report to lie presented at the fourteenth annual meeting of the above company on August 31st states that the year's operations were very satisfactory, enabling the various wasting assets to l)e substantially written down. £11.834 .being allowed for depreciation and exhausted bush, £3OO set aside for toad debts reserve, leaving £1297 to be carried forward. The. balance sheet sliowed assets (after allowing for exhausted bush and depreciation) as £125,941. including stocks on hand £27,495, plant £14,202, tramways £15,328. The liabilities amount to £184,1! M, including paid-up capital £72,837", Taurewa bush mortgage £23.OOd, bank mortgage £15.000. sundry .creditors £2192, current accounts £2857. The profit tfnd loss account showed the sales amounted to £71,278. On the other side Ihe chief items are: Wages £26,589, tramway maintenance £2385, discounts, exchange and Interest £4033, freight £11,715, maintenance, repairs and requisites £7318, salaries £ll7O, travelling expenses £216, rent £368, Tongariro preliminary expenses. £382.
