J.V pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in •it by section 16 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1915," and with the consent of tlie ratepayers of the Plymouth Road Special Rating Area in the Taranaki County hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers of the Special Rating •Area, the capital values of whose properties as appearing in the Valuation roll of the said County is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who dfd not consent, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as. follows: For the purpose of forming, regrading and metalling t>he Plymouth Road, the Taranaki County Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £BOO at four and a-half per cehtum per annum for a period of thirty-six years and ahalf, and declared that the cost of raising the said loan and the first year's interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moneys so raided. JpUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that ■in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in tjie Council by the Counties Act, 1908, and the Rating Act, 1908, it is the intention of the Clifton County Council at its next meeting to be held on Friday, the 3rd day of September, 1920, to make itnd lcVy under section 117 of the Counties Act, 1908, and in accordance with section 4S of the Rating Act, 1908, a General Rate of Two-pence farthing (2id) in the £ on the Capital Value of all rateable property within each of the Ridings of the County of Clifton, namely, the Mokau, Urenui, Tikofangi, Waihi and Ngatimaru Ridings; and such General Rate shall be for the year ending 31st March, 1921, and be payable in one instalment on the 17th day of September, 1920, at the office of the Clifton County Council, West Quay, Waitara, where the rate book is open for inspection during office hours.
