POWERS' VIEWS MAY CLASH. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Melbourne, Aug. 12. Mr. Hughes is being urged to abandon his proposed, visit to the mandatory territories in the Pacific to enable him to attend the meeting of the League of Nations in' November next. It is considered probable that troublo may arise over the mandates and other questions, including Japan's claim to recognition of social equality, against which Mr Hughes- previously made such a good case, and i that, therefore, *ne Australian representation at the. league meting should be as strong is possible —Aus.-N.Z.
