CANN DEFEATS FACOOREY. The contest for the New Zealand bantam professional championship at the Stratford J.°™. H «'l on Tuesday evening was tin exhibition of fine boxing, and from the spectators point of view It looked as If the challenger, B. Facoorey would get the decision. The contenants were very evenly matched, Facoorey having the advantage of only %lb in weight, over Cann, who stripped at 8.3%. The challengcr was exceedingly active on his feet, and %y quick movements escaped many hard knocks which would otherwise have been his Cann took tilings very quietly throughout the fifteen rounds, and although he stopped some straight lefts from his opponent,' he never for a moment looked like losing.
