BUTTER AND CHEESE.
PRODUCERS' COMPANY'S TURNOVER. PAST SEASON'S OPERATIONS. The annual report of the Taranaki Producers' Freezing Works Co., Ltd., to be submitted to the general meeting of shareholders on August 2S, states that the year commenced with 2650 boxes of butter and 75,263 crates of cheese in store. Of butter, 79,977 boxes (a decrease of 3913) were received, 54,638 boxes exported and 424 boxes disposed of in the Dominion, leaving in store on June 3 last, 23,747 boxes. Of cheese, 101,749 crates were received (an increase of 19,366), 193,426 exported, 265 used locally and 43,321 left in store. The working account shows a profit of £3115 10s lOd, out of which a dividend of 5 per cent is recommended. The chief items of expenditure are wages and management £5272, electric power £1149, repairs and renewals £2054, charges £Bl4, income tax £455, ammonia £376, insurance £358, directors' expenses £2OO, wear and tear £392, coal £543, the total, including £2912 for depreciation, amounting to £14,569. On the revenue side of the account freezing and cool storage account for £15,295, branding fees £l9B, interest £1694, the total, including balance from previous year (£497) being £17,684. The assets, stand at £85,133 and the liabilities including paid-up Bhares (£69,726) at £82,018.
