STATE WHEAT POOL. By Telesrraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Sydney, August 4. The Premier lias announced that a compulsory wheat pool is being established to control the next harvest. It will have the same effect as the Commonwealth pools—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. COAL EXPORT DE-CONTROL. Sydney, August 4. The coal position is regarded as interesting in view of the action of the Commonwealth Government in relinquishing control of export, which is not allowed at present witnout a permit, but tho owners will soon be free to compete jji foreign markets and obtain the world's parity. The abnormal rates ruling over seas are attracting the attention of owners, who are understood to expect an increased local price if supplying home re-quirements.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. POISONING OF RACEHORSE. Brisbane, August 4. A veterinary examination of the racehorse Boy Syce revealed arsenic in tho stomach.' Mr. Ryan, the owner, was offered a sum running into several thousands for the horse a few days before tlie colt's death.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
