Sydney, August 4, Replying to criticism of Mr. Justice Ewing's report, Mr. Storey said that the judges at previous inquiries might have found differently if wider scope were given them. Answering the. jibe that Mr. Justice Ewing is a second-class State Judge, Mr. Storey added that Australia!s most brilliant Justice (Mr. Grffith) came from one of the smaller States. Mr. Hughes denied that tha Commonwealth was concerned with the released prisoners. The Government was not contemplating action.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
