There was better competition for all sound hides, and mediums and heavies advanced about. Id per lb; other sound description maintained late Tates. At Douglas on July 20th a good yarding of both sheep and cattle met with a spirited demand throughout, the market showing a district Improvement, all classes selling at advanced rates. At Stratford dairy sale on the same day there was a big yarding of both heifers and cows of fair quality throughout. Sheep sold well throughout, prices if anything showing an advance on recent quotations.
