CESARONI CONCERT.
ANOTHER GEEAT SUCCESS.' The appearance of Cesaroni and his excellent company at the Empire Theatre last evening attracted another large audience, the attendance of music-lovcrß being greater than that recorded at the first concert. The programme submitted was a meritorious compilation of gems vocal and instrumental, which were received with hearty demonstrations of approval. Encores were .prolific, the audience being clamorous in their demands, arid the artists generous in response. The Cesarpni c&ncerts come as a refreshing breeze to those who appreciate the divine art, and worship at its shrine. > Cesaroni was great form, his magnificent voice being well produced and admirably controlled. His many numbers were selected with a view to supplying a variety of style, each of which gave the singer ample scope in interpretation. Opening with the wellknown prologue? from "Pagliacei", Cesaroni again gripped the attention of his audience from the commencement, and, responding to vociferous applause, sang Tosti's song "My Life's Ideal" and an aria from Mozart's "Don Later he sang the popular Tannhauser number "O Star of Eve", and the "Invocation" and "Serenade" from Gounod's "Faust". Extra numbers included "Hill Death", an aria from ''The Magic Flute", and the martial "Marseillaise" Miss Vera Carew, who was in good voice, sang. "One Fine 'Day", from "Madame Butterfly", Gounod's "Ave Maria", and VMy Treasure", "My Message" and "I'm a'longing for Yon". M. Ivan Tarbayeff, the Klissian tenor, sang the well-known "Pagliacei" aria, and "Angels Guard Thee", The youthful violinist, Miss Gladys Vincent, once move proved it warm favorite, and inspired the audience by her great mastery over the instrument of her choice. Easily sweeping away the technical difficulties which occurred in her various selections, this gifted young artist further enhanced her reputation as one of the most skilful players on the viblin who lias ever visited this district. Miss Rosa Walton, ns accompanist, and a charming exponent of songs at the piano, waß most successful, and Tier artistic work was greatly enjoyed. To-morrow evening Cesaroni and his company will appear at Stratford, artd on Friday at Hawera. On Saturday they will return an<t give a farewell concert in the Empire Theatre.
