CONNECTING WITH THE BOAT.
INCONVENIENCE TO TRAVELLERS. There were some very disappointed and disgusted people at the wharf yesterday morning. The Rhnu made a record .trip from Onelranga, being blown along by the high wind prevailing, reaching the port a little after five o'clock. The passengers, a full list, were given breakfast, and then stepped on to the wharf, waiting for the train to put in tan appearance. There was a van there, and into it was put the luggage. Some 'of the passengers knew the run of the ropes, and made off for the tram terminus, and got into town and connected with the mail train. Others did not, and had to stay in the rain on the wharf until nearly eight o'clock, when an engine was hooked on to the van and made for itown. They, of course, missed the mail train, and were very irate over what they considered was gross neglect on the part of the railway authorities. On complaints being made 'to the Daily News, Mr. F. J. O'Shea, the stationiriaster, was looked up. He said that generally the boat is seen coming in, and a train goes out ito connect with it. Yesterday morning, however, it got in unusually early. An official rang up the harbor before six o'clock, and was told that the boat had not arrived. Owing to this mistake no train was sent out. Had the 'bojrt's arrival been known the train would have connected with it <«» th« ordinary v/Af.
