EMPIRE THEATRE. LYRIC COSTUME COMEDY CO. TO-NIGHT. In the Lyric Costume Comedy Co. entertainment, opening at the Empire Theatre this evening, patrons can look forward to enjoying one of the best musical organisations yet heard in this town. The blending of their voices is admirable, and so skilful is, their modulation that no orchestra could be more perfectly balanced. Every variety of taste is catere'd for in their contributions, which range from the humorous to the sublime. In nursery rhymes, they specialise with their quaint harmonies, while in the treatment of ballads their tender and sympathetic delivery invariably gets the house "to a man." Individually, too, they excel, while their assisting artists, Miss Jessie Bartlett, the well-known contralto, Miss Evelyn Harvey, a gifted pianist and violinist, and Miss Bettina Edwards, solo danseuse, are of a calibre worthy of the talented Lyric Quartette. The box plans are at Collier's, and it would be advisable to secure seats early. , EVERYBODY'S. BIG DOUBLE PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. Every now and again an idealist butts into the institution of marriage with a fad fqr making it nicer and more lasting, and discovers that he has only been chipping off pieces of his scalp against a brick wall. Bryant Washbu'rn does it in the new Pathe comedy-drama "Al. Wrong," and though he fails to make a success of his method to make the hymenal knot a true lovers' one, he certainly does make a success of the play, which is one of the brightest of recent productions frojn the Pathe studios. This humorous'comedy-drama shows to-night and at both sessions to-morrow at Everybody's ,and it is supported by a five-reel Fox feature "On the Jump," Which stars the popular George Walsh in another series of daring and amazing stunts. The full programme will be screened at the Matinee to-morrow. THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF EMMY WEHLEN.
