HUNTLY'S REDUCED OUTPUT. Bj Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyriclit. Auckland, July 28. The shortage of coal for all purposes, which reached an acute stage in Auckland last week, continues to be serious. The output from the Huntly mines, which was greatly reduced owing to the recent stoppages, has not yet returned to. normal. It ia stated that whereas the nominal output of the Extended and Rotoroiro mines used to be from 1000 to 1200 tons, the output now, with an equal number of men at work, very seldom reaches 900 tons. The conditions at the Pukemiro mines have improved during the last few days, and a fairly satisfactory output is now being maintained. The miners, however, are short of explosives, and unless expected supplies arrive from Melbourne very shortly operations may again be suspended. It is hoped that the Hula, which is already overdue with explosives, will arrive in time to prevent a cessation of work. [
