POULTRY MARKET. That' high class \ poultry still has an attraction for people in spite of the high price of fowl feed, was evidenced by the crowd of buyers, some from as "far north as Waitara, who foregathered at Smith and Easton's auction mart, Bewera, last Saturday, when Mr. J. Urlich submitted 114 head chiefly American White Leghorn hen 3 aud pullets. Prices realised were as follows: White Leghorn pullets 9s 6d to 14s, hens 8s 6d to 13s, silver spangled Hamburg pullets 8s 6d, White Wyandottes 10s, Silver Wyandottes 15s to 17s, Indian Game trio £2, Black Orpington trio 38s 6d, White Rock trios 32s 6d to 37s 6d, trio Barred Plymouth Rocks 33b to 445, trio Campines 15s (id, Black Orpington cockerels 8s to 10s. There was a fair yarding of ordinary poultry which made ruling rates, viz., 2s 6d to lis for hens, 63 to 7s for ducks, 3s 9a to 7s for roosters. Altogether it wa3 one of the moat successful poultry sales held locally.
