CALLING TENDERS FOR 28. MORE LAND REQUIRED. (By Wire.—Parliamentary Reporter.) •U. <5 o o Wellington, Last Night. Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., has received a letter from Sir William Herriee with regard to the reported housing shertari at New Plymouth. Sir William Herries states that the Labor Department is calling tenders for additional dwellings at various towns, including 28 for New Plymouth. In« quiry is being made at New Plymouth tor another area of land, and when this is procured tenders will be invited fo? a further number, of houses,. : Every effort will be made to speed lip the work of erection.
