Dougall, that Mr. Archer was not the kind of man to indulge in propaganda work after giving ,an undertaking not to do so. BROKEN HILL DISTRESS FUND. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Williams, speaking at a meeting of the Hill Distress Fund Committee, gave an unqualified denial to the statement appearing in the Press to the effect that the Broken Hill / strike was nearing to its close. He said that his latest advice was in direct contradiction to this statement.
