WIRELESS TELEPHONE.
WONDERFUL RESULTS RECORDED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, St. Johns, July 24. The Marconi Signal Hill station telephoned conversationally to the journalists on board the Victorian, 100 miles out. The Premier (Mr. R. Squires) wiij send a wireless telephone welcome. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received July 20, 5.5 p.m. Ottawa, July 23. Successful conversations, lasting half an hour, were carried on from the wireless telephonic station at St. Johns with the Victorian, six hundred miles at sea. The Premier of Newfoundland (Mr. R. Squires) conversed with Viscount Burnham, formally welcoming the Press delegates to Canada.
Messages and responses were clearly heard. A gramaphone was played on board the Victorian, and was distinctly audible at St. Johnß.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
