FARM AND DAIRY.
A valuable consignment of stud sheep was shipped at Port Chalmers last week. The shipment consisted of 55 Lincoln rams, five English Leicester rams, three Romney Marsh rams, and three Border Leicester rams. The ultimate destination of the whole consignment is Buenos Ayres, but as there is no direct steamer communication between New Zealand and the Argentine, the sheep have to go to England, and there be transhipped.
