"VOTICE is hereby given that Forty - three Sections in Taranaki Land District, comprising 5872 acres, will be open for selection on special tenures to Discharged Soldiers only at the District Lands and Survey Ofiice, New Plymouth, up to 4 o'clock p,m. on Monday, 23rd August, 1920. Particulars of .the properties are as follows: LAND FOR SETTLEMENTS ESTATES. TAITAMA SETTLEMENT (late C. F. Young's) comprises seven sections suitable for dairying, from 109 acres to 30.1 acres, and is situated on .the Mana Road, about 8i miles from Tariki Railway Station. Factory and schqoi, 2J miles distant. RATAPIKO SETTLEMENT (late Angus Eraser's), is situated on the Tariki and Ratapiko Roads, about 6J miles from Tariki Railway Station, and contains five sections from 75 to 102 acres, the major portion being suitable for dairying. ARAHEKE SETTLEMENT (late Gilchrist's) comprises three sections of about 97 acres, each of good dairying land, and is situated about one mile from Egmoni Village. MATaNE SETTLEMENT, containing 50 acres, is situated li miles from Punilio, and is flat coast land of good quality. CROWN LAND. Twenty-seven sections varying from 33 acres to 200 acres, situated near the Parihaka Native Settlement and -PmigarMui Village, about 20 miles from New Plymouth bv 'the Main South Road, are exempt from rent for varying periods. Applicants for the. above lands must appear personally before, the Land BoariJ for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth on Wednesday, 25th August, 1920, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires, he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district. The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants. An application may include any number of sections but no person will be alloted more than one section. Plans and full particulars together with application forms may he obtained on application to mis o..iee, and plans seen at the principal Post Offices in the District.. G. H.
