TOOLEY STREET AND THE CHEESE OUTPUT. "It is generally anticipated that the cheese concerns in the North and South Wairarapa will pay out in the final bonus up to 2s 2d per lb. of butter-fat for that supplied during last season, which will be a record price (states the travelling reporter of the Wairarapa Age). "According to those in a position to know, this price will look small alongside that to be paid for butter-fat, during the coming season. The writer on Saturday mot the secretary of several Forty Mile Bush clioese factories, who had just returned ffom a conference of dairymen at Wellington. He stated that while in the Empire City the representatives of Tooley Street had made overtures to him for,the coming season's output of cheese. Their best offer was Is 4d per Jb.. which is equivalent to a return of 2s fid per lb of butter-fat to the milk supplier. 'lt looks,' said the dairyman, 'as though suppliers to cheese factories are in for a big season.'"
