SHAMROCK WINS AGAIN THREE MORE RACES. \ By Telegraph,—Prei* Am.—Copyright. New York, July. 20. Shamrock won the second race.. The course was on the reach t* *outh-south-east, then beat to west by porth, then on reach to north-east by north. Shamrock started at I2hrs, ISmin. 48sec., and Resolute at 12hr.' 16min. Msec. Shamrock had difficulty with her baloon sail, and the Resolute pa«|ed to Reward at 12,22. The wind was soft and sail-setting on tlio Shamrock was bungled. The Resolute sailed along smoothly. The Shamrock's bead sail did not fill. At' 12.M the ffesolute's balloon sail was going, splendidly.. At 12.55 tils SEamrock WM half-a-mile astern to weather, At 1 o'clock the Resolute lwt tbe wind and at 1.10 the Shamrock passed to windward. At 1.25 she led &y a. quarter of a mile. The breeze was hauling to the south. At 1.45 the Shamrock caught th,e first break of the south-wester and led by half a mile. At 2 o'clock the ?ta*oHte regained a quarter of a mile and took the starboard tack for the mark three miles away At 2.2- the fjhamrook did likewise and turned nt 2hrs. 28njin, 23*eo. The Resolute turned at 2hrs. 32min. 41 sec. The Shamrock's Wttle triangular forestay sail was wonderful, being always full. At 3.15 the Shamrock wo* loading by marly a mile. The Shamrock reached the second mark at 4hr. 28min. 20aee. and th«-Reso-lute 4hr. 43min. 40sec. When the Sham-, rock .turned, the Resolute was a mils astern, but. sailed fast to the mark and was gaining. A close race was then: probable. Nearing the flniablnjr line ft big hole appeared in the ShanjroSc'a bal. toon jib. The Shamrock finished at shr. i B7min. 58sec.
